This privacy policy covers the Coober Pedy mobile app (iOS and Android) and the umoonaopalmine.com.au website, operated by Umoona Opal Mine & Museum, Coober Pedy, South Australia ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Tour bookings: when you book a mine tour we ask for your name, email address, phone number, where you are visiting from, and your chosen tour date, time and party size. We use these details to manage your booking, issue your ticket and contact you about your tour if needed.
• Payments: tour payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe) in your browser. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Enquiries: if you contact us or submit a group-tour enquiry, we collect the details you provide so we can respond.
• Notifications: if you turn on notifications in the app, a push token is registered with our server so we can send you service updates. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no advertising SDKs.
• No third-party analytics or tracking.
• We never sell or rent your personal information.

How your information is used and shared

We use your information only to provide our services: fulfilling bookings, sending booking confirmations and tickets by email, responding to enquiries, and operating the app. It is shared only with the service providers that make this possible — Stripe for payment processing and our email delivery provider for confirmations — and where required by law.

Security and retention

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Booking records are kept only as long as needed for operational and legal record-keeping purposes.

Your rights — access and deletion

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

Our app and website are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed at children.
