Round triplet opal pendant with a 4mm round stone in a bezel setting, in gold plated sterling silver. Every opal is hand-selected, so yours will differ from the photo.

This small round pendant is set with a 4mm round triplet opal. A triplet is made from a thin slice of natural opal that is backed with a dark base and capped with a layer of clear quartz or glass. The cap protects the opal and gives the stone a smooth, domed finish. Triplets are known for flashes of spectral colour that shift as the light and viewing angle change.

Every opal is hand-selected and unique. The colours and pattern of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo, and the photo shows the design of the pendant only.

The round stone sits in a smooth bezel, with a second raised rim circling it like a halo. A polished, tapered bail at the top lets the pendant hang from a chain of your choice. The piece is made in gold plated sterling silver and comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy.
