A pear-shaped triplet opal pendant in sterling silver with a bezel-style setting and a decorative scrolled stem. Each opal is hand-selected, so colours and pattern differ from the photo. Stone size: mm x mm pear.

This pendant features a pear-shaped triplet opal, its softly tapered teardrop outline framed by a smooth sterling silver surround. Above the stone, the silver curves into a flowing, scrolled stem with a small round accent, finishing in a simple loop bail so the pendant hangs neatly from a chain.

A triplet opal is made from a thin slice of natural precious opal, backed with a dark base and capped with a clear layer of quartz or glass. The cap protects the delicate opal and deepens the look of its play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that make opal so captivating. Triplets are a lightweight, practical way to enjoy opal jewellery. They are not solid opal.
