Oval triplet opal pendant in sterling silver with a bezel setting and a twist chain. The hand-selected opal measures 8mm x 6mm, and its colours will differ from the photo.

This pendant features an oval triplet opal, set in a smooth sterling silver bezel with a polished rim that follows the outline of the stone. A triplet is made from a thin slice of precious opal backed with a dark base and capped with a clear layer of quartz or glass. The cap gives the domed surface a glassy shine and adds protection. The dark backing helps show off the play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that opal is known for. The stone size is 8mm x 6mm.

Every opal we set is hand-selected and unique. The colours, pattern and brightness of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo, which is there to show the design of the pendant.

The bezel wraps fully around the oval stone and holds it securely. A smooth, rounded bail at the top lets the pendant hang from a sterling silver twist-style chain. The piece comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy.
