Triplet opal pendant with an 8mm x 6mm oval stone, set in sterling silver with a teardrop-shaped surround and a swirled bail. Each opal is hand-selected, so no two are the same.

This pendant from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum features an 8mm x 6mm oval triplet opal. A triplet is made from a thin slice of natural opal backed with a dark base and capped with a layer of clear quartz or glass. The cap protects the opal and lets the stone's play of colour show through. Triplets are known for their flashes of spectral colour that shift as the stone catches the light.

Every opal is hand-selected and unique. The colours and pattern of the stone you receive will differ from those in the photo, so each pendant is individual.

The oval stone sits in a smooth sterling silver bezel. An open teardrop-shaped outline curves around the stone and frames it. At the top, the silver twists into a swirled bail that gives the pendant a graceful, flowing look.
