Oval triplet opal pendant, stone size 7mm x 5mm, in a sterling silver setting with open scrollwork. Each opal is hand-selected and unique, so colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This pendant features an oval triplet opal, bezel set in sterling silver and framed by open, curving scrollwork that sweeps around the stone. A looped detail sits above the opal and leads into a polished bail, so the pendant hangs neatly from a chain.

A triplet opal is made from a very thin slice of natural opal, backed with a dark base and capped with a clear layer of quartz or glass. The cap protects the delicate opal and gives a domed, glassy finish. Triplets are known for a vivid play of colour, with flashes of blues, greens and other spectrum colours shifting as the stone moves in the light.
