Oval triplet opal pendant, stone size 7mm x 5mm, in a bezel setting in sterling silver with a chain. Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This sterling silver pendant features an oval triplet opal in a smooth, rounded bezel setting, with the metal wrapping the full edge of the stone. A small jump ring joins the pendant to a polished, tapered bail, which hangs from a fine silver-toned chain.

A triplet opal is made from a thin slice of precious opal, backed with a dark layer and capped with a clear dome of quartz or glass. The cap protects the thin opal layer and can add depth and sparkle, while the dark backing helps the colours stand out. Triplet opals are known for lively play of colour, with flashes of blue, green and other spectral hues that shift as the stone moves in the light.
