Oval triplet opal pendant, 9mm x 7mm, bezel set in gold plated sterling silver with a looped bail. Each opal is hand-selected, so your stone will differ from the photo.

This oval pendant features a 9mm x 7mm triplet opal in a smooth, polished profile. A triplet is made from a thin slice of precious opal that is backed with a dark layer and capped with a clear dome of quartz or glass. The cap protects the delicate opal and deepens the display of colour, and it makes for a lightweight, affordable way to enjoy the shimmering play of colour opal is loved for.

Every opal we use is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo. The photo shows the design of the pendant only.

The stone sits in a smooth bezel setting, where a continuous band of metal wraps around the edge of the opal to hold it securely. Above it, a flowing, ribbon-like bail curls around and loops over the top of the setting, adding a graceful decorative detail. The piece is made in gold plated sterling silver and comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy.
