Oval triplet opal pendant with a 9mm x 7mm stone in a bezel setting of gold plated sterling silver. Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so your stone will differ from the photo.

This neat oval pendant holds a 9mm x 7mm triplet opal in a smooth bezel setting of gold plated sterling silver. The metal rim wraps around the edge of the stone, and a polished bail joined by a small jump ring lets the pendant hang from a chain of your choice.

A triplet opal is made from a thin slice of natural opal, backed with a dark layer and capped with clear quartz or glass. The layers are bonded together, which lets a delicate slice of opal be used in jewellery. Triplets are known for bright flashes of colour moving across the stone as it catches the light. It is not a solid opal.
