Triplet opal pendant with an 8mm x 6mm oval stone in a gold plated sterling silver teardrop setting. Every opal is hand-selected, so yours will differ from the photo.

This pendant features an 8mm x 6mm oval triplet opal, bezel set and framed by a teardrop-shaped outline of gold plated sterling silver. A double band of metal curves around the stone, and a twisted ribbon detail at the top leads into the bail.

A triplet opal is made from a thin slice of natural opal backed with a dark base and capped with a clear layer of quartz or glass. The cap protects the opal and gives a smooth, glossy dome. Triplets are known for lively play of colour, with flashes that shift as the pendant moves in the light.
