Oval triplet opal pendant, stone size 7mm x 5mm, in gold plated sterling silver with a pointed open frame. Each opal is hand-selected, so colours and pattern differ from the photo.

This pendant features an oval triplet opal, 7mm x 5mm, held in a slim bezel and surrounded by a pointed, eye-shaped open frame. Fine ridged details on each side of the frame add a little decoration to the clean outline. A tapered bail sits at the top so the pendant hangs neatly from a chain.

A triplet opal is made from a thin slice of natural opal, joined to a dark backing and topped with a clear cap of quartz or glass. The backing deepens the stone's background, and the cap protects the thin opal layer. Triplets are known for showing lively play of colour, with flashes that shift as the stone moves in the light. They are not solid opal.
