Triplet opal pendant with a 7mm x 5mm oval stone in an open heart-shaped gold plated sterling silver setting. Each opal is hand-selected, so colours and pattern differ from the photo.

This pendant holds an oval triplet opal, 7mm x 5mm, in a bezel setting. A triplet is made from a thin slice of precious opal backed with a dark base and capped with clear quartz or glass. The cap protects the opal and gives the stone a smooth, glossy surface. Triplets are known for showing bright flashes of spectral colour that move as the stone is turned in the light.

Every opal used in this style is hand-selected and unique. The colours and pattern of your stone will differ from the one in the photo, which is shown for the design only.

The oval stone sits in a smooth, polished bezel. An open, curved outline wraps around one side of the stone and sweeps down into a heart-like shape. A fluted, ridged bail at the top carries the pendant on a fine curb-style chain. The piece is available in sterling silver or gold plated, and comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy.
