Open heart pendant in sterling silver set with an oval triplet opal, 7mm x 5mm. Each opal is hand-selected, so its colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This sterling silver pendant has a smooth, polished open-heart outline with a small oval triplet opal (7mm x 5mm) set in a bezel-style setting and sitting within the heart. The pendant hangs from a simple bail.

A triplet opal is made from a thin slice of natural opal, backed with a dark base and capped with a clear layer of quartz or glass. The cap protects the thin opal layer and helps bring out its play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that opal is loved for. Triplets are not solid opal.
