These drop earrings pair a smooth oval triplet opal, 8mm x 6mm, with a polished gold plated sterling silver setting. Each stone sits in a bezel-style rim, held within an open, softly pointed frame that curves around the opal and lets it take centre stage.

A triplet opal is made from a thin slice of natural opal, backed with a dark base layer and capped with a clear dome of quartz or glass. The cap adds protection and depth, and triplets are known for lively play of colour, with flashes of spectral colour that shift as the earrings move and catch the light.
