Cherry-style pendant with two round triplet opals (stone size 3mm round) in gold plated sterling silver. Each opal is hand-selected, so colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This little cherry pendant pairs two round triplet opals with a gold plated sterling silver setting. Each opal sits in a smooth bezel at the end of a curved stem, with a pair of small leaves, and a simple bail at the top lets the pendant hang from a chain of your choice.

A triplet opal is made from a very thin slice of natural opal, backed with a dark base and capped with a dome of clear quartz or glass. The layers give the stone depth and protect the delicate opal, and triplets are known for the flashes of spectral colour that move and shift as the light changes. This is not a solid opal.

Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of the stones you receive will differ from the photo. The stone size is 3mm round. This piece comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
