This pendant features a 10mm x 7mm teardrop-shaped solid opal, set in gold plated sterling silver. Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or layers added, and is known for the shimmering flashes of spectral colour, called play of colour, that shift and dance as the stone catches the light.

Every opal is hand-selected and unique. The colours, pattern and brightness of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo, which is shown to illustrate the design of the pendant.

The teardrop stone sits in a smooth bezel setting, with a fine band of metal wrapped around the outline of the opal. A small connecting ring joins the stone setting to a polished, rounded bail, so the pendant hangs neatly from a chain threaded through it. Gold plated sterling silver gives the piece a warm, golden finish.
