This pendant pairs a teardrop-shaped solid opal with a classic bezel setting in gold plated sterling silver. The stone measures 8mm x 5mm and sits in a smooth metal rim that follows its pear-shaped outline. Sculpted metalwork curves over the top of the stone, and a small round accent stone sits just above it, leading up to a polished loop bail.

Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap. It is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour shift and move as the stone catches the light and is turned.
