These drop earrings pair a pear-shaped solid opal with a clean, classic gold plated sterling silver setting. Each stone is a teardrop that tapers softly to a point, held in a smooth bezel setting that wraps the edge of the opal. The stones are 6mm x4mm.

A solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or capping layers. Solid opal is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour shift and move as the stone catches the light and the earrings swing.
