These drop earrings hold a 6mmx4mm solid opal in a smooth bezel setting, framed by an open teardrop outline in polished gold plated sterling silver. The oval stone sits at the base of the teardrop, so the opal is the focal point of each earring while the open frame keeps the design light and airy.

Solid opal is natural opal cut from a single piece of rough, with no backing or cap added. It is known for play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour shift and move as the stone catches the light. Every opal we set is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of your stones will differ from those in the photo.
