This pendant pairs a pointed-oval solid opal, stone size marquee, with a graceful gold plated sterling silver setting. A solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal with no backing or cap, and opal of this kind is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour move and shift as the stone catches the light.

Every opal we set is hand-selected and unique, so the colours, pattern and brightness of your stone will differ from the one in the photo. The photo shows the design of the piece only.

The setting is a smooth, flowing design. A teardrop-shaped surround curves up into a soft S-shaped twist at the top, which forms the bail. The stone sits within this outline, held by small claws. The pendant hangs from a fine curb-style chain, as shown in the photo.
