Pear-shaped solid opal pendant in a sterling silver bezel setting with a fixed bail. Stone size 8mm x 5mm; each opal is hand-selected, so yours will differ from the photo.

This pendant pairs a pear-shaped solid opal with a simple sterling silver bezel setting. The smooth, rounded teardrop outline of the cabochon is framed by a thin silver rim that holds the stone securely and lets the opal take centre stage. The stone measures 8mm x 5mm.

Solid opal is natural opal cut and polished from a single piece of opal, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour shift and move as the stone is turned in the light. The brightness, body tone and colour range vary widely from stone to stone.

Every opal we use is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo. The photo shows the design of the pendant: the pear shape, the bezel setting and the bail. The piece comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
