This pendant features a pear-shaped solid opal, 6mm x 4mm, set in sterling silver. Solid opal is a natural stone cut from a single piece of opal, with no backing or cap. It is known for the shifting flashes of spectral colour, called play of colour, that move as the light changes.

The opal is surrounded by a halo of small, bright, clear stones in a pear-shaped outline that echoes the shape of the opal. The halo has a claw-style edge that frames the centre stone. A small polished bail sits at the top and holds the pendant on a fine silver-toned chain.
