This pendant pairs a pear shape solid opal, measuring 6mm x 4mm, with a simple, graceful teardrop design. The stone is held in a smooth bezel setting, with an open teardrop-shaped outer frame that echoes the curve of the opal and draws the eye to its centre. A small bail at the top lets the pendant hang from its curb-style chain.

Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, rather than being layered or backed. It is known for its play of colour, the flashes of spectral colour that shift and move as the stone catches the light.
