Pear-shaped solid opal pendant, stone size 6mm x 4mm, bezel set in gold plated sterling silver with a polished bail. Every opal is hand-selected and unique.

This pendant pairs a pear-shaped solid opal, 6mm x 4mm, with a simple, classic setting. Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap, and is known for its play of colour: flashes of spectral colour that shift and shimmer as the stone moves in the light.

Every opal we set in this style is hand-selected and unique, so the colours, pattern and brightness of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo. The photo shows the design of the pendant, not the exact opal.

The teardrop-shaped stone is held in a smooth bezel, a continuous band of metal that wraps around the edge of the opal and sits neatly around its outline. Above it, a polished bail with clean, high-shine lines lets the pendant hang freely from a chain. The piece is made in gold plated sterling silver and comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy.
