These drop earrings pair two pear-shaped solid opals, each set in a smooth sterling silver bezel. A solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap added, so its colour runs right through the stone. Each stone measures 7mm x 5mm.

Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of your earrings will differ from the stone shown in the photo. Solid opal is known for its play of colour, where flashes of colour shift and move as the stone catches the light.

The design is simple and classic. The rounded teardrop outline of each stone is framed by a slim bezel, which wraps the edge of the opal neatly. The bezel hangs from a small link beneath a polished, domed teardrop-shaped top that sits at the earlobe as a stud, giving the earrings a graceful drop.
