Oval solid opal pendant (stone size 8mm x 6mm) in a sterling silver open swirl setting with a fixed bail. Each opal is hand-selected, so yours will differ from the photo.

This pendant pairs a small oval solid opal with a flowing sterling silver setting. The stone sits low in a smooth rim, and a looping, ribbon-like surround curves around it and leaves open space in the design. A small link joins the setting to a polished bail at the top, and the bail lets the pendant hang from a chain.

Solid opal is natural opal cut from a single piece of stone, with no backing or cap. It is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour move and change as the stone catches the light. Every opal we set is hand-selected and unique, so the colours, pattern and brightness of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo. The photo shows the design of the setting only.

The pendant is made in sterling silver, and the stone measures 8mm x 6mm. It comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
