Sterling silver pendant set with a hand-selected 7mm x 5mm oval solid opal in a bezel, within an open teardrop frame. Each opal is unique, so colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This pendant pairs a small oval solid opal with a graceful open teardrop frame in sterling silver. The stone, which measures 7mm x 5mm, sits in a smooth bezel setting. The bezel wraps around the edge of the opal and holds it securely. A curved cradle sits beneath the stone, and fine ribbed bands on either side add a little detail to the metalwork. The frame narrows to a polished bail at the top.

Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap. Its colour runs right through the stone. Solid opal is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour move and shift as the stone is turned in the light.
