Oval solid opal pendant with an 8mm x 6mm stone in gold plated sterling silver, with a swirling bezel-style setting. Every opal is hand-selected and unique.

This pendant features an oval solid opal, 8mm x 6mm, set in gold plated sterling silver. Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap, so the colour you see runs right through the stone. Solid opals are known for their play of colour, flashes of spectral colour that shift and change as the stone moves in the light.

Every opal in this style is hand-selected at Umoona Opal Mine & Museum, so each one is unique. The colours, pattern and brightness of your stone will differ from the one in the photo, which shows the design of the pendant only.

The smooth, polished metal curves around the oval stone in a gentle swirl, holding the opal in a bezel-style setting. The band flows up into a slim, curved bail at the top, so the pendant hangs neatly from a chain of your choice.
