Solid opal oval pendant with an 8mm x 6mm stone, bezel set in gold plated sterling silver. Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This oval pendant is set with a solid opal measuring 8mm x 6mm. A solid opal is cut and polished from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap added. Opal of this kind is known for its play of colour, the flashes of spectral colour that shift and dance as the stone moves in the light.

Every opal we set is hand-selected and unique. The colours, pattern and brightness of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo, which shows the design of the piece only.

The oval stone sits in a smooth bezel, a continuous rim of metal that surrounds and protects the edge of the opal. At the top, a polished band crosses over the bail with a gentle wrapped detail, adding a small decorative touch. The pendant is made in gold plated sterling silver. It comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
