Gold plated sterling silver pendant set with a hand-selected 7mm x 5mm oval solid opal in a bezel setting with an open teardrop frame. Each opal is unique, so colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This pendant features an oval solid opal, 7mm x 5mm, held in a smooth bezel setting. Solid opal is natural opal cut and polished from a single piece, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, where flashes of colour move and shift as the stone is turned in the light.

Every opal in this style is hand-selected at Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, and every stone is unique. The colours, pattern and brightness of your opal will differ from the one shown in the photo, which is used to show the design of the pendant.

The setting is an open teardrop frame in gold plated sterling silver. Two fine lines form a peak above the stone and join a rounded base beneath it. Small grooved ribs on each side of the bezel add a delicate decorative touch. A polished bail at the top lets the pendant hang from a chain.
