Oval solid opal pendant with an 8mm x 6mm stone, bezel set in gold plated sterling silver with a halo of small clear stones. Each opal is hand-selected and unique.

This pendant pairs an oval solid opal, 8mm x 6mm, with a sparkling halo setting. The opal sits in a smooth, polished bezel, with a ring of small round clear stones set in tiny claws around it. The stones catch the light and frame the opal. A polished bail at the top lets the pendant hang from its chain.

Solid opal is a single piece of natural opal, cut and polished from top to bottom. It has no backing and no cap. Solid opal is known for its play of colour, the flashes of spectral colour that shift and change as the stone moves in the light.

Every opal we use is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo. The photo shows the design: the oval shape, the bezel setting, the halo and the bail.

The pendant is made in gold plated sterling silver, and the photo shows it on a fine curb-link chain. It comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
