These drop earrings pair a simple, elegant sterling silver design with a small oval solid opal in each. Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing layer, and is known for the shifting flashes of spectral colour, called play of colour, that move across the stone as it catches the light.

Every opal we set is hand-selected and unique. The colours, pattern and brightness of the stones you receive will differ from the stones shown in the photo, so each pair has its own character. Each stone measures 6mm x 4mm.

Each earring has a small polished ball at the top, with a slim straight bar that swings below it. The bar ends in a small link that holds the oval opal, which sits in a smooth bezel setting, with a rim of silver around the stone. The long, narrow line of the drop gives the earrings a light, modern look that suits everyday wear.
