These drop earrings pair a smooth oval solid opal with a graceful sterling silver setting. Each stone sits in a rounded bezel-style mount, topped with a crossed pair of silver bands that give the base of the earring a gentle, flowing shape. A slim straight bar links the setting to a small ball stud at the ear.

Solid opal is natural opal cut and polished from a single piece of stone, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that move as the stone is turned in the light. The stones in this style are 7mm x 5mm ovals.
