This pendant pairs a solid opal with a graceful, flowing setting in gold plated sterling silver. The stone has an elongated, pointed-oval outline, and the metal sweeps around it in a leaf-like frame with open, curving lines. A small bail at the top lets the pendant hang from a fine curb-style chain, as shown in the photo.

Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that move as the stone catches the light.
