This pendant pairs a polished sterling silver kangaroo silhouette with a small round solid opal. The kangaroo is shown in profile, with its tail extended and its head raised. The opal sits at its feet like a ball, held in a smooth rim setting that follows the stone's round outline.

The opal is a 5mm round solid opal. Solid opal is natural opal cut from a single piece of stone, with no backing or cap. It is known for play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour move and shift as the stone catches the light. Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so the colours, pattern and brightness of the stone you receive will differ from the one in the photo.

A small bail at the top of the kangaroo lets the pendant hang from a chain. It is a simple, characterful piece that carries a touch of Australia and the colour of Coober Pedy. It comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum.
