This pendant pairs a heart-shaped solid opal (6mm x 6mm) with an open heart outline in sterling silver. The opal sits within the curve of the frame, held by delicate claws, so the stone is the focus and light can reach it from several angles.

Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap added. It is known for play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour move and change as the stone is turned in the light.
