Open heart pendant in gold plated sterling silver, set with a hand-selected solid opal, pear 5X3. Each opal is unique, so its colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

This heart pendant has an open, flowing heart outline in gold plated sterling silver, with a pear-shaped solid opal (pear 5X3) held inside the curve of the heart by small claws. A neat bail at the top lets the pendant hang from its chain.

Solid opal is natural opal cut from a single piece of stone, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour move and shift as the light changes and the stone is turned.

Every opal we use is hand-selected and unique, so the stone you receive will not be the one in the photo. Its colours, pattern and brightness will differ. The photo shows the design of the pendant, including the shape of the setting and the pear-shaped stone. It comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
