These drop earrings pair a classic open heart with the glow of natural solid opal. Each heart is a smooth, polished outline in gold plated sterling silver, with a small oval opal (6mm x 4mm) set inside it and framed by the curve of the heart.

Solid opal is cut and polished from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap. It is known for its play of colour, the flashes of spectral colour that shift and dance as the stone catches the light and moves with you.

Every opal is hand-selected at Umoona Opal Mine & Museum and is unique, so the colours and pattern of your stones will differ from those in the photo. The design stays the same: a short straight bar drops from a small ball stud top to the heart, so the earrings hang with a gentle, easy movement.
