A pair of sterling silver drop earrings, each set with an 8mm x 6mm oval solid opal. Every opal is hand-selected and unique.

These drop earrings pair a pair of oval solid opals with a flowing sterling silver setting. Each oval stone is held in a bezel, a smooth metal rim that wraps around the edge of the opal. Each stone measures 8mm x 6mm.

Solid opal is natural opal cut from a single piece of stone, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, the flashes of spectral colour that shift and dance as the stone moves in the light. Every opal we use is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of your pair will differ from those in the photo.

Above each opal, a curved sweep of silver rises beside the stone and meets a slim bar link. The bars hang from round ball studs, so the earrings drop gracefully below the ear. They are sold from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
