These drop earrings pair an oval solid opal with a modern, open silver frame. Each stone is held in a smooth bezel-style rim and sits inside an angular, diamond-shaped surround. The frame swings gently below a slim bar and a round ball top, so the opal catches the light as you move.

Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, the flashes of spectral colour that shift and change as the light and viewing angle change. Each opal is 8mm x 6mm.
