These drop earrings pair a 7mm x 5mm oval solid opal with a graceful gold plated sterling silver setting. A small round ball sits at the ear and a slender bar drops from it. The bar ends in a crossover ribbon of metal that cradles the oval stone below.

Solid opal is cut from a single piece of natural opal, with no backing or cap added. It is known for its play of colour, where flashes of spectral colour shift and shimmer as the stone moves in the light.

Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of the stones you receive will differ from those in the photo. Each pair comes from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum in Coober Pedy, South Australia.
