Pair of oval doublet opal earrings, each stone 7mm x 5mm, bezel set in gold plated sterling silver. Every opal is hand-selected, so colours and pattern will differ from the photo.

These oval earrings are each set with a doublet opal measuring 7mm x 5mm. A doublet is a thin slice of natural opal bonded to a dark backing. The backing supports the delicate opal layer and helps show off its play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that move as the stone is turned in the light.
