These drop earrings pair two oval doublet opals with a clean, simple sterling silver design. Each stone measures 8mm x 6mm and is held in a smooth bezel setting, with a thin silver rim wrapped around the edge of the opal.

A doublet opal is a thin slice of natural opal fixed to a backing layer, which gives the stone strength and lets the opal's colour show in a lightweight, wearable form. Doublets are known for their play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that move as the stone catches the light. This is not a solid opal.

Every opal is hand-selected and unique, so the colours and pattern of the stones you receive will differ from those in the photo. The photo shows the design of the earrings only.
