These earrings each feature a 4mm round doublet opal set in a smooth, polished bezel of gold plated sterling silver. The metal wraps neatly around the edge of the stone, giving a clean, simple outline that suits everyday wear and lets the opal take centre stage. Sold as a pair.

A doublet opal is a thin slice of natural precious opal bonded to a dark backing layer. The backing strengthens the slice and gives a dark background that helps show off the play of colour, the shifting flashes of spectral colour that opal is loved for and that move as the stone catches the light.
